Sweet jeesus, this thread only reinforces to me why I am thankful every day to be a company car owner.

Kudos sir, you've certainly a shit-load more patience than I when it comes to all things cars. I love them like you wouldn't believe but sod having to fix them myself!

Plus loads of cheap hotels that are all walking distance to all the best bars and areas we could possibly end up drinking at/in.

Sheffield is truly the world's biggest and friendliest village.

In before Smog with 'Not that sort of village' etc.

Well, given it's nearly the World Cup now is the time to pick up some bargains for a new telly.

Picking it up tomorrow and hopefully installed in time to watch the League One play off final (hope it's better than the Champshionship one but I'm sure DMB won't think so)

The only worry I really have is the statement that "Motion resolution not brilliant". Hmmm, oh b*ll*x to it, let's go for it.

Only worry...?

Against
Motion resolution not brilliant
Flawed Football Mode
Underpowered sonics
Quite costly for non-4k

Laughing

On the Ambilight TV I just posted, I ended up turning off virtually all of their software tweaks and picture enhancements and got a simply astounding picture in comparison to what it was out of the box with all of their processing shit turned on.

Highly recommend (although it is somewhat tedious but absolutely worth it) with any TV, disabling everything like that and spending some time turning things on and off and making some notes about differences each 'enhancement' really makes when turned on while watching a pure and good HD source with flesh tones and face close ups that you are familiar with and use your judgement. And make a note of all your settings once setup perfectly in case they get wiped for any reason, I speak from bitter experience.

Also, as time passes, make sure to keep an eye out for new posts, reviews and such like appearing on forums, of other peoples' settings setups and try those out.
