Who is up for a piss at some dubious location with dubious characters?

Perhaps sometime in November and somewhere central.

Possible locations:

Leeds
Manchester
Birmingham
Blackpool??

Suggestions please.

...but, but,......they're  all north of Watford...... Very Happy       On the map above Watford is says...."Here be Dragons"...although a weekend in Blackpool sounds good... around the illuminations turn on time, when's that?  I suppose some of us Southerners could car share.

Are you coming darn sarf on your travels?

Serious thought I will give it......

Switch on already been at Blackpool and they finihs 9th November and that weekend is very busy and expensive.

PLease throw other suggestions for location into the hat.

Surely the easiest thing to do here is get everyone's location and pick the most central point? It's got to be Brum somewhere with us suvverners and you Norverners.

I am however worried about Cold and Grekk 'getting together' - make sure we aren't near any animals  Laughing

Away put your weapon, or I will help you not

I would like to suggest Brighton, it is very central and offers a wide array of entertainment venues.....Kenneth would be most welcome in some sections of the community with his frosty tache and lederhosen. I believe Grekk would also be warmly  welcomed, especially when he regayles people with his rock and roll stories about being in Primal Scream, Sabbath and ABBA.
If not Brighton then anywhere in Sussex would be fine.
Ameet up would give me the opportunity to humiliate myself in front of a whole new bunch of people.....drinking until some sort of rectal bleed ensues (before u say it Smog, not that sort of enduced rectal bleed that you regularly suffer from.

Piss up....sounds good to me

...and why not?

Derby is probably as central as it gets, not far from the M1 and on the railway mainline - even Londoners are allowed in!

I went to Uni in Derby and its a great night out (but that was 20+ years ago so probably too young for us lot now) but I still have friends living there who could point me in the right direction for suitable establishments catering to the more elderly clientele!

Dates would probably help?

*edit* I could be selfish and suggest Stoke as another central location but to be honest its shit and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone !

also Uttoxeter is a nice town  and onlyu a little further than Derby, small and compact with quite a few pubs and this on 15th Nov: Beer Festival

Uttoxeter looks like the dog's bollocks to me.  A beer festival on a racecourse.....drool.....I can smell fish and chips.......how far is that from the south coast?   *edit 220 miles, 4 hours

I do visit Royal Ascot every year but it's a pretty staid affair....so this one looks  more relaxed.......let's make the bookies cry  Very Happy

Derby or York sounds like the best places. York is always nice place to go but not very central. Derby pretty central. Any more for any more?

premier inn derby 15th Nov from £29

Uttoxeter £86

York £89

if the race day is interesting Derby is only 10 miles so a shared taxi would be do-able, or the train runs right next to the racecourse on race days so train in taxi out? I go to uttoxeter regularly and can recommend the Ivory Cafe for a curry  Laughing

Sheffield!

Central as fuck and amazing everything, hotels, pubs, 2 uni's worth of fresh flange just wandered into town and made it home.

Promise y'all will have an amazing time.

I'm not biased in the slightest... ahem...

Plus loads of cheap hotels that are all walking distance to all the best bars and areas we could possibly end up drinking at/in.

Sheffield is truly the world's biggest and friendliest village.

In before Smog with 'Not that sort of village' etc.
